Appointment of Advisory Board Chairwoman

Sud South is pleased to announce that Dr. Marie-Paule Donsimoni-Bupp, currently a member of the Sud South Advisory Board has been appointed as Chairwoman of its Advisory Board.
Dr. Marie-Paule Donsimoni-Bupp is a social entrepreneur with 2 decades in senior positions in the knowledge management industry. She held the position of Chairwoman, advisory board member and CEO of several commercial organisations in Europe and Africa. Among other positions, she worked in California with the largest privately-held learning group, Knowledge Universe; in France, as CEO of DAFSA; and, prior, as senior manager, subsequently member of the Advisory Board in the UK, at Oxford Analytica and the Economist Intelligence Unit; and, in Belgium, at DRI/McGraw Hill.
Dr. Marie-Paule Donsimoni-Bupp has been an investor in Southern Africa, with a focus on Botswana, for the past 10 years. She started the Aarberg Group bringing innovative practices in Botswana. She launched AcademE as the sole Distributor of Intuitive Products and Services in Africa. She worked with the Botswana Innovation Hub and still works with the Microsoft Innovation Centre and the Botswana College of Agriculture.
She held several positions in academia: Dean of the Economics Department of the Catholic University of Louvain, Professor of Economics at Columbia University, visiting Professor in France and Italy. She holds a M.A. in Economics from Paris-I, a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Paris-VI, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. She has published numerous articles and a textbook.
The Advisory Board has been created in September 2021 to provide strategic guidance and technical advice to Sud South’s Executive Committee,. Advisory Board members are responsible for tracking sectorial business developments as well as supporting the company in accessing growth opportunities via their extensive network of contacts.
