SUD SOUTH WELCOMES TWO NEW MEMBERS TO STRENGTHEN ITS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.
Sud South is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Adolf Bosch as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Mr. Uwe Naeher as Chief Geological Officer Officer (CGO).
With the ongoing objectives to efficiently achieve its mission, Sud South strengthens its organisation with the onboarding of highly experienced profiles coming from the logistics and mining sector. We are thankful to them for joining our team and wish them all the best.
Adolf Bosch – Chief Operating Officer
Adolf Bosch has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, Adolf will be responsible for the overall daily operations of Sud South and will work closely with the CEO to implement the strategic vision and values of our young company.

Adolf has over 30 years of international cross-functional experience (Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology and general Business Management) specifically in the US, Europe and in Africa. He has a solid knowledge of finance and general business management and developed those last 10 years in logistics and mining related services in the Katanga region in the DRC.
Adolf was most recently the Country Head of Sabot SARL in the DRC, part of Sabot Group (Pty) Ltd, a South African specialist in road transportation solution for the southern Africa region. His primary role as Country Head was to assist the Managing Director for Sabot Group in South Africa, in strategic planning and risk management and by overseeing the operations controlled by the Group in the DRC.
Adolf holds a degree in Business Commerce (BCom) from the University of Stellenbosch as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Business School of Netherlands.
Uwe Näher – Chief Geological Officer
Uwe Näher holds a Master’s Degree in Geology from the Technical University of Munich and has over 30 years’ experience in mineral exploration and mining in several countries in Africa, North America and Europe. He worked as a geologist and consultant for a variety of companies among them Urangesellschaft, De Beers, Billiton and Rio Tinto between 1988 and 2000. He also served as exploration director for Southern Era Diamonds from 2001 to 2009. In the last 12 years, Uwe was the head of the conflict mineral certification project in the DRC with the BGR (German Federal Institute of Geosciences and Natural Resources).
Improving Livelihood
“As Chief Geological Officer, his role will be crucial to strengthen Sud South’s expertise in the artisanal mining sector and to support the roll-out of the certification and traceability program to be tailored for the Musompo Trade Centre Project under the supervision of the National Ministry of Mines. In his role, he will advise the Executive Committee on matters pertaining to geology, global supply chain and certification,” said Eddy Kioni, CEO.
Uwe’s experience in the mining sector and his network will benefit Sud South in securing solid contacts with upstream stakeholders and establishing strategic international partnerships with mid and downstream players involved in the global supply chain in various forms.

After almost 30 years of working in the mining sector, I am thrilled to share with Sud South, not only my expertise in Geology-related matters, but also my experience in political, socio-economic, environmental and safety related matters. Contributing to the building of a safer, fairer and more responsible artisanal mining sector in the DRC on the other side of the gate will be a rewarding experience,” said Uwe Näher, , Chief Geological Officer.
